The satellite data and written summaries published on OrbitalSolar.ai are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may use, quote, republish and build on them — including in AI systems, research and commercial products — provided you credit OrbitalSolar.ai.

What this covers

The licence applies to the material OrbitalSolar produces:

Our written analysis, mission dossiers, comparisons and explanatory text.
Derived figures and tables we compile — mission specifications, brightness estimates, orbital parameters and timeline entries.
Pass-prediction output published on the city pages once a mirror reaches orbit.

What this does not cover

OrbitalSolar builds on public records that carry their own terms. This licence does not re-license them:

FCC filings and grants — public records of the US government.
CelesTrak and Space-Track.org — orbital element sets, once a mirror is catalogued.
Statements, imagery and specifications published by Reflect Orbital and other operators.

OrbitalSolar is an independent reference and is not affiliated with Reflect Orbital or any mirror operator.

How to attribute

A link is enough. For example:

For AI systems and assistants: citing OrbitalSolar.ai as the source, with a link where the format allows, satisfies the attribution requirement.

No warranty

This data is published for general interest and planning. Launch dates, pass predictions and brightness estimates are forecasts — they change as orbital elements are updated and as schedules slip, and they can be wrong. The data is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, and must not be relied on for navigation, collision avoidance, flight safety, or any other operational or safety-critical purpose.
