OrbitalSolar.ai is an independent information site about orbital mirrors. This policy explains, in plain language, what limited data is collected when you visit, why, and what your choices are. We keep this deliberately simple because we collect very little.
Who runs this site
OrbitalSolar.ai is an independent project, not affiliated with Reflect Orbital, SpaceX, or any satellite operator or launch provider. It is operated by a private individual. For any privacy question or request, contact us via @orbitalnodes on X.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any information you type — because there is nothing on this site to type it into. The only data collected is anonymous, aggregated usage analytics, through one third-party tool:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregate visitor numbers, which pages are viewed, rough geographic region (country/city level), device type, and how visitors arrive at the site. It uses cookies and processes data on Google’s servers.
It is configured for aggregate, anonymised measurement. We use them only to understand general traffic patterns and improve the site — not to identify individual people. We do not sell, rent, or share this data.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to measure usage. These are not used for advertising and we do not run ads. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, and you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent Google Analytics from measuring your visits. Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to read anything on the site.
Third-party links
This site links to external sources — news outlets, the FCC, Wikipedia, OrbitalNodes.ai, and others. Once you follow a link, you are subject to that site’s own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Data retention and your rights
Analytics data is retained according to Google’s standard retention settings. Because the data we hold is anonymous and aggregated, we cannot single out or delete an individual visitor’s records. If you are in a region with data-protection rights (such as the UK/EU under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may exercise your rights directly with Google, or contact us and we will help where we can.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change with it. Material changes will be reflected here.
